Thankful Hearts

Here we are at Thanksgiving Eve. I can't help but count my many blessings tonight. We are so blessed as a family and as a nation. Many times we forget and take for granted the roof over our heads, the clothes on our backs, and the food in our pantry. May be never grow unthankful as a nation and always count our blessings one by one. If you look at the hurricane victims in Florida and Texas and see within twelve hours everything they owned was crumbled this past summer. That could've possibly been us. They woke up that morning and never dreamed of their possessions being taken away right before their eyes. If you live in the mountains like I do, we always think we've got protection from the storms, but sometimes we don't. There's been tornado's that have went through some mountain communities in the past.

This Thanksgiving lets gather around the table with our families and really be thankful for each other. Love not hate; we'd be a better nation if we took those three words to heart.

In closing, this year while we're gathered around the table with our plates full of turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and a big slice of pumpkin pie, let's remember the ones that's spending this holiday along and hungry.

Have Thanksgiving everyone!
