While watching CBS This Morning, I couldn't help but feel for the state of California. They've been through a lot in the last couple weeks, with wildfires and now the horrible mudslides. I can't imagine what the locals are going through. If their home wasn't burnt-up in the fire, now it's covered with mud.  This is a picture of U.S. 101 in and around Santa Barbara. It doesn't even look like a road, but more like the floor of a river. By the news reports, this took place about 4 AM the other morning, a time where many residents were in bed asleep. If you think about it, at that hour there isn't much you can do. Some people say it sounded like a train coming, and managed to escape their homes safely. Others weren't that lucky.  The death toll is standing at 17 this morning, and dozens missing.
