California Wildfires

I know by now you've saw the wildfires in California all over the news media and maybe even your social media feeds. My heart breaks for the victims that have lost everything they own but the clothes on their backs.

Here's a map recently released that shows the affected areas. The forecasters say the winds are suppose to increase this weekend, making it very difficult for the fire departments. The air quality is getting worse too. This is a statement from the Los Angles Times:

Health officials said Friday that air quality in Santa Barbara and Goleta has been unhealthy for three days. Santa Barbara County health officials are distributing special masks and recommending that people relocate for at least a few hours a day to somewhere with cleaner air to give their lungs a break.

Please be in prayer for these people. I can't imagine what they're going through. It's hard to go through something like this, but especially here at Christmas. If you can give, please contact the America Red Cross, so they can get it to these people affected.

Let's pause a moment and remember these people and the fire department staff and first responders hard at work during this time. I'll leave you with a few more pictures for the raging fires.
